Taewin and Shaishai

Taewin, the older sister, and Shaishai, her brother, were born in a small village in Thailand. Despite living in Thailand their entire lives, they remain stateless. COF began providing rice support to their family after the father left, leaving the mother to raise her five children alone. After the mother became seriously ill, the family moved from the village to our mother and child protection centre. Unfortunately, despite COF providing access to medical care, their mother passed away from an incurable disease.

Incredibly, despite their experiences, the siblings remained focused and applied themselves to education. When Taewin was 12 and Shaishai 10, they became interested in football. It soon became a passion, providing inspiration and belonging. As they continued to excel in the sport, it also encouraged self-confidence and a profound sense of achievement.

Taewin is now 21 years old. Her love for football continues, and she is now studying at university to become a sports teacher. Shaishai, 19 years old, is in his final grade of high school. He has developed into a very skilful attacker and plays in every available tournament. His plan for the future is to go to vocational college and become an electrician.
