Both watching and making films are an important part of Children of the Forest’s art program.
Watching films can be a way to ‘travel’ for stateless children prevented from leaving a small zone on the border. It is also a way for the children to learn about the similarities and differences between them and others and to use this knowledge to better understand their own lives.
‘Breakout Films’ is the name of our film making program. Here children learn basic video making but most importantly they grow the confidence to tell their own stories.
